Yoga Therapy Offerings

What is Yoga Therapy?

Yoga Therapy is a process of guiding individuals to progress toward improved health and wellbeing through the practices and teachings of Yoga.  In Yoga therapy, we view humans through a multi-dimensional lens, considering aspects that are physical, psycho-emotional, and spiritual.

Yoga therapy typically takes place in 1:1 or small group sessions.  Working together, we will collaborate to develop a program tailored to your needs, integrating mind and body practices to guide you on a supported path of self-healing and wellness.

Common areas of focus include managing or alleviating stress, anxiety & depression, processing trauma &/or grief, examining & addressing substance reliance or abuse, and chronic pain management.

Potential goals might look like identifying & addressing causes of suffering, changing one's relationship to, & identity with, existing conditions, exploring lifestyle choices to prevent the occurrence or reoccurrence of illnesses & dis-ease, and a return to, or improvement upon, general wellness.

Depending on the individual, practices often include the use of asana (postures) pranayama (breath practices) mudra (specific gestures) meditation, mantra & affirmations.  There is no "one-size-fits-all" recipe in Yoga therapy.

It is vital to remember that each of us is already whole, and we contain within us the tools to return to and move from this place of wholeness.
